Afghan VP Due in Tehran on Saturday

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Afghanistan’s first Vice-President is due to arrive here in Tehran on Saturday.

Upon arrival Ahmad Zia Masood will officially be received by Iranian Vice President for Executive Affairs Ali Sa’eed-lou.

The visit to Tehran by the Afghan official is aimed at following up on the previous agreements concluded by the two sides during President Karzai’s recent visit to Tehran.

In their talks, the Iranian and Afghan presidents stressed the need for the consolidation and development of mutual ties.
