Iranians Participate in Elections to Show Loyalty to Islam

He said that enemies are angry at the Iranian nation, and reminded, “Americans took control of all affairs of this country for 25 years since 1953 and although Iran seemed to be an independent country, the United States was in control of all decision makings and the fate of this country.”

“During all those years, there was no sign of elections or freedom,” Haddad Adel pointed out, adding, “And our people are well aware of the fact that all the slogans of democracy and freedom that the US politicians and administration chant are mere lies.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said, “By their participation in the elections people renew their allegiance with Islam and the Islamic Republic ruling system, while they voice their hatred for those powers which seek to rule over our country under the pretext of freedom and democracy.”
