TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Pakistani Foreign Minister Mian Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri arrived here in Tehran on Wednesday.Kasuri’s two-day visit takes place at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Manouchehr Mottaki.
During his visit, the Pakistani foreign minister is due to convey a message from President Pervez Musharraf to his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The top diplomat is also due to meet with Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani, Director of the Expediency Council’s Research Center Hassan Rouhani, former Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi, Chairman of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaoddin Boroujerdi and chairman of Iran-Pakistan parliamentary friendship group Ali Akbar Agha’ee.
During his meetings with the different Iranian officials, the Pakistani foreign minister is due to discuss expansion of bilateral ties and Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline and exchange views about regional issues.
Pakistan is among those states which have always voiced strong support both for Iran’s right to access peaceful nuclear technology and for the peaceful solution of Iran’s nuclear issue.
