Ahmadinejad’s Message to Pope

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- President Ahmadinejad’s letter to the pope is a non-political message stressing the establishment of new relations in the international arena, specially formation of new human relations on the basis of the common teachings of the monotheist religions.

Deputy Head of the Communications and Information Dissemination Bureau of the Presidential Office Ehsan Jahandideh told FNA that Ahmadinejad’s message to the world Catholic Church leader Pope Benedict XVI underlines the need for all those interested in the welfare and exaltation of mankind, specially monotheists and followers of the prophets of monotheist religions, to work out a solution to remove the agonies and pains of man and improve human exchanges on the basis of the common religious teachings, particularly monotheism and justice.

“In his message to the pope, the president has highlighted man’s return to the path of monotheism and justice-seeking as the only way for him to get rid of his present problems,” he continued.

According to Jahandideh, the president has further pointed out that cooperation among divine religions plays a very influential role in the settlement of man’s major issues and problems, specially in terminating the oppressive relations presently dominating man.

The message of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s president is conveyed to the pope by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki today.
