TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Tehran’s Interim Friday Prayers leader Ayatollah Emami Kashani stressed here today that the Iranian nation is vigilant and resolute in defending its rights, adding that enemies’ plots will be of no efficiency since the Iranian people will make them fall flat.
Addressing a fervent congregation of the worshippers on Tehran University Campus here today, the senior cleric pointed to the west’s forged pictures of Iran, and said, “They are pretending that Iran seeks to acquire military nuclear technology to disturb world security and they make such unfounded allegations while they have produced nuclear weapons and massacred innocent people through using them. Therefore, this is actually the scientific progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran that they are opposed to.”
He further noted precise inspections of Iranian nuclear facilities and activities by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and added, “They are introducing Iran as a source of insecurity in the world while all our activities are monitored by the IAEA.”
Emami Kashani also pointed to the frequent failures and defeats of the US in the world, specially in Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and Afghanistan, and underscored, “They are using the nuclear issue as an excuse for launching a cold war against our nation, but Iranian people are vigilant and will defuse all these plots and conspiracies.”
“The issue of Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities has been politicized in a bid to start a cold war against Iran,” he said, and further continued, ” However, Iranian nation will not give up its efforts to achieve its scientific goals.”
Elsewhere, the Friday Prayers Leader of Tehran warned Muslims against plots hatched by the West to sow discord among the Muslim Shiites and Sunnites, and pointed out, “The enemy is preparing a massive plan for the Islamic world and for the entire region.”
He said that the Western states, particularly the US, decided to set up new plans after they were forced to admit that their policies in Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan had failed.
“Shiite-Sunnite division is a dirty lesson taught by the world arrogance in Muslim countries,” Ayatollah Kashani said regretting that the lesson was used by some of the Muslim states.
The cleric urged Muslim countries to stay united and proximate their ranks further in order to disappoint enemies of the Islamic world.
