Revision of Cooperation with IAEA Put into Effect

A02378705.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Tuesday communicated an instruction for the implementation of the law which reconsiders ties and cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The single article, which has been forwarded to the foreign ministry under No. 129545, requires the government to accelerate the country’s nuclear activities and revise its cooperation with the IAEA based on Iran’s national interests, a report released by the Secretariat of the Government’s Information Dissemination Council said.

The bill, which was initially introduced to the Islamic Consultative Assembly by the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, received the approval of the parliament and the Guardians Council on December 27, 2006.
