Sudanese DM Visits Iran’s Plane-Manufacturing Industries

A02378704.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Visiting Sudanese Defense Minister Field Marshal Abdel Rahim Mohammed Hussein paid a visit to Iran’s aircraft manufacturing industries (HASA) affiliated to the Defense Ministry in Isfahan on Tuesday.

During the visit, the General was briefed about the trend and stages of design and manufacture of both ‘Iran-140’ passenger plane and the various types of helicopters produced by Iran’s defense industries.

Following the visit, the Sudanese defense minister lauded Iran’s surprising and all-out progress in the defense industries and said that the Islamic Republic’s achievements serve as a source of pride for the Islamic and independent countries.

Field Marshal Mohammed Hussein is due to sign a memorandum of understanding on mutual defense cooperation between Iran and Sudan before returning home on Wednesday.

The Sudanese defense minister arrived here on Friday at the head of a high ranking military delegation.

During the 4-day visit which takes place at the invitation of Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, the Sudanese five-star General attended meetings with senior Iranian political and defense officials.
