TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad noted the wave of vigilance in the world and dissatisfaction of the world nations at hegemonic policies, stressing that a new and extensive wave has just started in Latin America for confronting the United States’ hegemony.
According to a report released by the Presidential Press Office, Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a cabinet meeting here on Wednesday, where he briefed the ministers about his recent visits to Venezuela, Nicaragua and Ecuador.
He also said that a new memorandum of understanding and a joint statement that he signed during his visit to Venezuela as well as a 25-Article agreement which he and his Nicaraguan counterpart endorsed would play a very effective role in the future economies of the involved sides and consolidate Iran’s relations with the said two countries.
Also noting the growing vigilance of the world nations and their dissatisfaction with the hegemonic policies, the president reiterated, “A new and extensive wave has started in Latin America for confronting the United States’ hegemony, which will make the US an isolated country in that region, as it has already happened in the other parts of the world.”
