3 Azeri Trucks Set Ablaze at Iranian Borders

A02370184.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Three lorries belonging to the Republic of Azerbaijan burnt on fire in Astara at the joint border with the Islamic Republic of Iran Sunday morning.

According to FNA dispatches, fire started from the oil tank of one of the three trucks which was parked near gate two of Astara Customs.

The Azeri drivers’ efforts to put the fire out by fire extinguishers saved nothing until Astara fire fighting squad rushed to the place and harnessed the flames, eye-witnesses said.

No one has been injured during the incident and investigations on the possible causes of the incident are underway, the report added.

Meantime, a group of Azeri drivers said they believed the incident was the result of personal quarrels among their colleagues.
