VP Leaves for Syria

Iran’s First Vice-President Parviz Dawoodi left Tehran for Damascus on Thursday at the head of a delegation. During his day-long trip, Dawoodi is scheduled to inaugurate the assembly line of the Iranian ‘Samand’ passenger car in Syria.

Dawoodi is accompanied by Tahmasbi, the Industries Minister, and Manouchehr Manteqi, Managing Director of Samand manufacturer Iran-Khordo Company, in this second visit to Syria.

The Iranian first vice-president is also due to attend meetings with high-ranking Syrian officials during the trip.
