Quakes Jolt Central Iran

Two earthquakes measuring 3.2 and 4 on the Richter scale jolted the area in the vicinity of Shiraz and the town of Lamard in Iran’s central province of Fars on Thursday. According to Fars seismological base affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quakes were registered at 01:36:08 and 09:29:18 hours local time (22:06:08 and 05:59:18 GMT).

No reports have yet been received on the possible number of casualties or damage to properties by the quakes.
