Ahmadinejad Blasts West for Portraying a Belligerent Image of Iran

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said those whose histories are filled with aggressions, oppressions and cruelties are indicting Iran for aggression and belligerency. “During the 8 years (of Iraq’s imposed war on Iran) they supported the corrupt Saddam against our nation and clapped his crimes, they killed people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki by their atomic bombs and murdered Iraqis and made them homeless with their presence in Iraq, and now the same people are accusing our kind nation of belligerency and this is an instance of confrontation between devils and monotheistic movements,” Ahmadinejad said while addressing a public congregation in the town of Khonj in Iran’s central province of Fars during his 27th tour of the different Iranian provinces.

He further dismissed such allegations, and added, “Those who accuse the Iranian nation of violence, belligerency and expansionism are ignorant of the fact that nations are on the move and attention to justice and monotheism is on the increase.”
