Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and ministers of the Nicaraguan government in a 4-hour-long meeting in Managua on Sunday studied the possible grounds for the activity of Iranian companies in Nicaragua. According to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau, the meeting was attended by Nicaragua’s ministers of transportation, agriculture, energy, infrastructure and development and economy as well as presidential advisor and deputy foreign minister.
The two sides decided that a technical-specialized committee should examine the issues raised during the meeting and prepare them for the final approval of the two presidents.
The two sides held primary agreements on cooperation in areas of health and hygiene, road construction, dairy processing technology, dam construction, power plant construction, small industries, agriculture technology, agricultural machineries, irrigation and potable water.
