Head of Iran’s state-run TV Ezzatollah Zarqami, heading a high-ranking media delegation, arrived in the Syrian capital city of Damascus on Monday. Zarqami and his entourage are due to attend the inauguration ceremony of the 3rd International Meeting of the Muslim Media in Support of Palestinians in Damascus today.
Also during the trip, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Broadcasting (IRIB) is due to meet a number of the officials of the Muslim media as well as high-ranking Syrian officials to discuss issues of the world and Muslim media and exchange views about regional developments.
The 3rd International Meeting of the Muslim Media in Support of the Palestinian People is attended by over 1000 experts and elites from all across the world of Islam and will continue until May 2.
