Indian troops, in their ongoing acts of state-terrorism, martyred 51 Kashmiris, including two custodial deaths and one child in the outgoing month of May in occupied Kashmir.Â
According to the data compiled by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, 147 Kashmiris were tortured and critically injured during custody and 84 were arrested, without any provocation, during crackdowns and siege and search operations. While 19 civilians got disappeared in troops’ incarceration.Â
During the period, 12 children were orphaned, 7 women disgraced and 6 widowed. Eight structures, including residential houses and commercial outlets, were either destroyed or damaged.Â
