Two Student Activists Detained in Iran

On Wednesday the security forces in Iran attacked the homes of two student activists of Amir Kabir University and arrested them.The detainees are Ali Saberi and Abbas Hakimzadeh. The security forces confiscated their personal computers and CD archives.

According to Amir Kabir University newsletter the security forces searched their houses before arresting them. They then told their families to go to

Tehran Revolutionary Court

to get information about their children.

Prior to this Abbas Hakimzadeh had been suspended for two semesters and Ali Saberi for one semester decrees issued by the “Conduct” committee. They also were banned from entering the University premises by the order of Alireza Rahaei, the President of Amir Kabir University.

This is not the first time security forces attack homes of student activists. Two weeks ago, Ehsan Mansouri was arrested in his house.

These two arrests brings the total number of detained Polytechnic University students to nine. From whom eight were arrested in the past month.
