An Egyptian trade delegation is to arrive next Saturday in Sana’a headed by Board Chairman of the gyptian Supplies Authority Saeed al-Hanafi.
It is scheduled that the delegation would hold talks with Yemeni officials in the Ministry of Industry and Trade over possibilities of setting up Egyptian investment in crops domain in the country.
The visit of the Egyptian delegation comes after amending article No. 28 of Trade Law, which opens door for non-Yemenis to work in
field of commerce and export in Yemen, Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakel said.
He said that the amendment is to end monopoly in order to serve interests of consumers and offer services with reasonable prices and
good quality, adding that such a step pushes toward to freeing the Yemeni economy within the framework of integrating it into economies
of Gulf Cooperation Council and accessing the World Trade Organization.
