Iranian President Due to Visit Turkmenistan

A0271962.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is scheduled to leave Tehran for the Turkmen capital city of Ashgabat on a two-day visit starting on August 14.

During the trip, Ahmadinejad is due to confer with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow about bilateral ties and other issues of mutual interest.

The Iranian president also paid a visit to Ashgabat last year and met with the late president of that country, Niazov.

Berdimuhamedow visited Tehran shortly after he succeeded Niazov several months ago.
