Iran-Morocco Joint Stamp Issued

A01849705.jpgIran and Morocco issued a joint stamp on Monday which bears Falak-ol-Aflak Citadel in Lorestan province as its theme, an Iranian official said.Saeed Mahmoudi Aznaveh, director of the cultural productions of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization’s (ICHHTO) Culture and Communications Department, said that the stamp also bears the image of a historical Moroccan fortresses as a sign of the two countries’ cultural cooperation

According to ICHHTO, the elegance of the historical citadel was the main criteria for its selection.

Aznaveh also said that Iran is due to issue other joint stamps with several other countries, including Cuba and Hungary.

Falak-ol-Aflak Citadel belongs to the Sassanid era (226-651 AD) and is located on a 40-meter mountain slope in Lorestan’s capital Khorramabad.
