Ahmadinejad Calls for Bolstering of Tehran-Bishkek Cooperation

A01177496.jpgIranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that his country and Kyrgyzstan can enjoy extensive and unrestricted cooperation in different areas. Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with Kyrgyz parliament speaker in Bishkek on Thursday, where he voiced support for the expansion of the two countries’ economic and trade ties.

He also stated the Islamic Republic’s preparedness to transfer its desirable experiences in the industrial, energy and trade sectors to the friendly counties.

Elsewhere, the president underlined the positive role of parliaments in the development and progress of different states, saying, “Parliaments of countries can help progress of their nations through regulating appropriate rules and regulations.”

He further described exchange of visits by the two countries’ officials as an important factor in the boosting of mutual cooperation, and said that parliaments can facilitate activity and exchange of visits by the two countries’ traders, industrialists and investors through passing proper laws.

For his part, Merat Sultan voiced pleasure in Ahmadinejad’s visit to Kyrgyzstan, and expressed the hope that the trip would yield many fruits for the expansion of Tehran-Bishkek relations.

The Kyrgyz parliament speaker stressed the need for the expansion of the two countries’ relations and parliamentary cooperation, and also called for the facilitated visits and activity of the two countries’ traders and businessmen.
