Iran to Test Training Jet Soon

Commander of the Islamic Republic’s air force General Ahmad Mighani here Sunday said that his country would soon test a domestically-manufactured training jet called “Ya Hossein”. The General further noted Iran’s advancements in manufacturing military planes during the post-revolution era, and added that the defense ministry has just started mass production of such recently manufactured military planes as ‘Azarakhsh’ and double-steer fighter jets.

He also pointed to the manufacture of tracing, laser-guided, laser-marked, air-to-air, air-to-surface, surface-to-surface and surface-to-air bombs and missiles as among other achievements of the Iranian air force.
