Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki voiced Tehran’s preparedness to provide facilities for foreign investors willing to conduct activity in the Iranian tourism sector. Addressing an international convention on ‘Tourism Opportunities’ here on Saturday, Mottaki reminded that Iran is among the world’s first 10 countries as far as tourist sites are concerned, saying that Iran enjoys various grounds for the operation of foreign investors.
He said Ahmadinejad’s administration attaches much significance to the expansion of tourism, adding that his ministry has adopted different measures to facilitate traveling to Iran by foreign tourists, including endorsement of various agreements to create legal mechanisms for the traveling of foreign tourists and presentation of facilities and support to the private sector.
“The Foreign Ministry welcomes investors,” Mottaki said, adding that according to recent assessments, Iran’s tourism industry is making rapid progress.
