Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad viewed as valuable the activities made by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in consolidating unity among the Islamic Ummah (nation). The president made the remarks in a meeting with OIC secretary general on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) ministerial meeting on ‘Human Rights and Cultural Diversity’ here in Tehran on Monday.
During the meeting, Ahmadinejad also appreciated the efforts made by the OIC secretary general to establish regional peace as well as his supports for Islamic values.
He further voiced Iran’s preparedness to help better arrangement of the upcoming OIC summit of the heads of state in Senegal.
For his part, the OIC chief highlighted his organization’s significant missions, and briefed Ahmadinejad about the OIC’s global interactions and administrative arrangements and measures for holding the next summit of the heads of state.
