Speaking to FNA here on Wednesday, Hosseini also viewed presence of the Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmad al-Khalifa in the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on ‘Human Rights and Cultural Diversity’ in Tehran as an indication of the two countries’ good relations.

He said that the NAM meeting provided an opportunity for the Iranian and Bahraini foreign ministers to discuss bilateral ties and exchange views about the latest developments in the region.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran enjoys cordial and brotherly relations with the state of Bahrain and the two countries make use of all the existing potentials to expand and boost mutual cooperation,” Hosseini said, adding that Tehran and Manama take every opportunity to explore new potentials for developing mutual ties.

He further reiterated that consolidation of all-out ties with other countries and respect for their territorial integrity set Iran’s main strategy in its relations with other countries, and stressed Tehran’s resolve to further reinvigorate and develop relations with all the Persian Gulf littoral states.
