Qatari Emir, Iranian President Converse over Phone

Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, in a phone conversation with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, extended his congratulations to the Iranian leader, president, government and nation on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. During the phone talk, the Qatari emir described expansion and deepening of ties among the entire Islamic Ummah (nation) as among the duties of all Muslim officials.

The Iranian president, for his part, congratulated the Qatari emir on the advent of the month of Ramadan, and expressed the hope that God would bestow his graces upon all Islamic Ummah, including the Qatari people.
