Britain Waiting for Iran’s Green Light to Enter Highway Construction Project

A00905687.jpgBritish consultant engineers are waiting for the approval of the Iranian road and transportation ministry to participate in the giant project for the construction of Tehran-North Highway, an informed source said.The enthusiasm of the British engineering company runs counter to the US ultimatums to foreign companies to withdraw assets and cooperation from Iranian projects.

“The required measures for the participation of the British consultant company in the Tehran-North highway have been adopted and they can start their operation in Iran once the final approval is issued by the ministry of road and transportation,” the source, who asked to remain anonymous told FNA here on Sunday.

He said that the British company has already deployed a representative office in Tehran-North Highway Construction Company and the rest of the group will arrive once the final documents are endorsed by the Iranian side.
