Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad extended his congratulations to Yasuo Fukuda on his appointment as Japan’s new prime minister.In his message, Ahmadinejad noted Fukuda’s constructive role in the expansion of Tehran-Tokyo relations, and expressed the hope that the two countries’ ties would further develop during Fukuda’s term of office.
