Quake Hits Northeastern Iran

A03437402.jpgAn earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted the town of Taybad in Iran’s northeastern province of Khorassan Razawi on Wednesday.The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 04:27:18 hours local time (00:57:18 GMT).

The epicenter of the quake was located in an area measuring 60.7 degrees in longitude and 34.7 degrees in latitude.

No reports have yet been received on the possible number of casualties or damage to properties by the quake.
