Iran Ready to Aid Cambodia with Development

A014269416.jpgIran’s Ambassador to Cambodia Seyed Javad Ghavam Shahidi voiced Tehran’s preparedness to assist Phnom Penh in developing and renovating the country, in oil, gas and petrochemical sectors in particular. Ghavam Shahidi made the remarks in a meeting with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, where he briefed the other side about Iran’s active diplomacy and policies for developing ties with different Asian states.

The diplomat also stated Tehran’s readiness to cooperate with Cambodia through exporting technical and engineering services to that country.

For his part, the Cambodian king welcomed growing cooperation with Iran, and stressed the need for the exchange of senior delegations between the two states.

He viewed Iran as an honorable and great country with a lustrous culture and civilization, and elaborated on the possible ways to expand mutual ties between the two states.

Sihamoni further reminisced about his joyful visit to Tehran, and praised Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a powerful leader who has brought the Asian continent into a state of equilibrium.

He also stressed that Iran’s potentials and capabilities play a complementary role for the needs of the Asian countries.
