Bahrain Stresses Peaceful Nature of Iran’s N. Program

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmad al-Khalifa described Iran’s nuclear programs and activities as peaceful.

 

“Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and it is not at all a source of concern,” Khalifa said in an interview with the Qatari paper al-Sharq.

“This is the lack of strategic cooperation and coordination among regional countries which is a source of concern,” he added.

The official further pointed to the expansion of Iran-Bahrain relations, and reminded that the pipeline project for taking Iran’s gas to Bahrain would yield many political and economic fruits for the two sides and consolidate their mutual relations in future.
