TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- China’s incoming ambassador to Tehran met with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral ties, and stressed further expansion of mutual relations and cooperation.
Mottaki assessed as positive the volume of trade ties between Iran and China, and also reiterated the need for a promotion of trade exchanges.
He expressed the hope that the arrangement of the two countries’ joint economic commission meeting in the near future would create new grounds for the deepening of Tehran-Beijing relations.
For his part, the Chinese envoy said that Beijing has given him the mission to further expand the two countries’ relations, adding that exchange of high-ranking delegations plays a major role in the development of mutual relations between the two sides.
