Commander Highlights Power of Iranian Navy

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Commander of Iran’s naval force said his troops enjoy high capabilities for defending the country’s territorial waters.

Speaking to FNA in the northern province of Gilan on Monday, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said that Iranian naval forces undergo highly standard trainings.

“The navy enjoys high potentials in training, and our troops undergo training programs which are at the level of the world standards and we provide for our training needs domestically,” he said, adding that Iran is now even capable of training the naval troops of friendly countries.

The commander further pointed out that experienced, skillful and innovative troops of the navy create new tactics, which he said is a result of frequent and well-planned exercises in the northern and southern waters of the country.

He also said that the navy enjoys high combat capabilities due to its advanced equipment, “As regards equipment, we are in very suitable conditions. We are capable of supplying our needed equipment.”
