The envoy told APA that he is not informed about the process of negotiations.

“Both sides are interested in this issue and it will be possibly realized. There are 3 checkpoints between Iran and Azerbaijan yet,” he said.

The diplomat further pointed to the perspectives of the canceled visa regime between Iran and Azerbaijan, said that there was no problem in the positive solution of this issue.

“There is no problem with travelling. There is also no problem in getting visa. But traveling conditions are not in conformity with the desire of nations. I believe that this issue will be solved positively soon,” he said.

Hamidi Zare said that after imprisonment of Azerbaijani citizens who are accused of cooperation with Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) there will not be any problem between the two countries.

“Extraneous forces have always taken some measures for straining relations and these efforts will continue, although they have produced no results yet,” he said.
