Iranian FM: 2008 a Milestone in Iran-Africa Ties

A0162364.jpgTEHRAN (FNA) – The year 2008 will be a milestone in Iran’s relations with African countries, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here on Tuesday in a meeting with Senegalese Minister of Armed Forces Becaye Diop.

Mottaki and Diop discussed cooperation between Tehran and Dakar and exchanged views on regional issues, a Tehran Times report said.

Iran and Senegal should expand their cooperation in the areas of oil exploration, power transfer lines, and car manufacturing, Mottaki stated.

Diop also noted that the trend of relations between Tehran and Dakar is promising.
