Iran’s FM in Ethiopia for AU Summit

A0316854.jpgTEHRAN (FNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Thursday to attend the 10th summit of the African Union.

The 10th Regular Session of the African Union Summit, scheduled for January 31st to February 2nd, will discuss the industrial development of Africa, press tv reported.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is an observing member of the African Union.

During the visit, Mottaki is expected to meet with African leaders and officials to discuss ways to promote ties between Iran and African countries.

Mottaki’s visit is an important step. He earlier called the year 2008 a turning point in the ties between Iran and African states.
