Ahmadinejad’s Senior Aide Denies Meeting with US Officials

Samareh Hashemi noted the excellent and valuable achievements and results of the World Economic Forum, and voiced pleasure in his desirable meetings with officials of other countries on the sidelines of the Davos meeting, but meantime dismissed earlier reports about his talks with the US envoy.

“There was no meeting between the Iranian delegation and US officials participating in the Davos meeting and the reports released about a meeting between some Iranian officials and Zalmay Khalilzad are not true,” the presidential aide told FNA.

Earlier a US paper claimed that Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and Samareh Hashemi had attended a meeting with the US Ambassador to the UN Zalmay Khalilzad on the sidelines of the WEF meeting in Davos.
