Head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society Masoud Khatami said on Thursday that Iran is ready to send relief aid to Gaza Strip through Egypt and is sill awaiting to receive green lights from Egyptian officials.

Speaking to reporters, he said Egypt is now regarded as the only gate to send humanitarian relief aid to Gaza where people are suffering from shortages of medicines, foodstuffs, electricity and the likes.

As soon as the Egyptian officials announce their approval, the Iranian relief aid would be dispatched to Gaza Strip through that country, he said.
