Russia, Turkey Holding Similar Stance on Iran

A00233608.jpgTEHRAN (FNA) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Ankara on Wednesday that Russia and Turkey share close stances on such international issues as Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, Iraq and the Middle East.

Lavrov told reporters after a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Ali Babajan that Russia and Turkey are interested in expanding mutual ties.

He said Russia is second major trade partner of Turkey.
