TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran laid out a Haft Seen in the depths of the breathtaking turquoise waters of the Persian Gulf on the occasion of the Iranian New Year.
The Haft Seen was spread in Persian Gulf waters near Qeshm island, welcoming travelers from both home and abroad who are touring Iran’s largest island, a press tv report said.
Sightseers can go scuba diving to see the underwater Haft Seen, which will be on display until the last day of the Iranian New Year holidays (April 2).
An important part of New Year rituals in Iran is setting the Haft Seen, a table containing seven items starting with the letter ‘S’, each of which representing one of the seven creations (according to Zoroastrian cosmology) and their holy protectors.
