Quake Hits Central Iran

A00214851.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- An earthquake measuring 4.1 degrees on the Richter scale jolted south of Shahreza city, 80 kilometers south of Isfahan on Wednesday.

The Seismological center of Isfahan province affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 11:45 hours local time (08:15 GMT)

The epicenter of the quake was located in an area 51.94 degrees in longitude and 32.00 degrees in latitude.

According to FNA dispatches, the tremor was felt by residents in the city of Isfahan.

There are yet no reports on the number of possible casualties or damage to properties by the quake.
