TEHRAN (FNA)- The fire, which began at the National Golestan park in the Northern Khorasan province of Iran in the morning of 15 August, is still going on.
Firemen faced difficulty to extinguish the fire, the state-run tv said in its latest report.
According to the head of the Iranian Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry’s Department on Golestan, employees of the Golestan Fire-Prevention Department were sent to assist the employees of the Northern Khorasan Fire-Prevention Service.
Investigations are underway into the cause of the fire.
The National Golestan park occupies 91 hectares and is located in the east of Golestan province. Half of the park is located in Northern Khorasan and Semnan and another half in Golestan province.
