TEHRAN (FNA)- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, along with members of his cabinet, is scheduled to pay a visit to Arak, in the central province of Markazi on Saturday
This is the fifth provincial tour of President Ahmadinejad in the current Iranian year (started on March 21).
The visit to Arak by the president and his entourage will take place on the first day of observance of the Government Week (August 23-29).
Government Week marks the martyrdom anniversary of the late president Mohammad Ali Rajaei and his prime minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar, who were both martyred in a bomb blast in the presidential office by the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) on August 30, 1981.
During his stay in the province, President Ahmadinejad will meet with families of martyrs and hold separate meetings with provincial clerics and scholars.
The president and his cabinet ministers will hold a session in the provincial capital to discuss the province’s needs.
He made the initiative to visit different provinces since he took office in 2005 in order to bring closer the government to ordinary people.
