Iranian Ambassador Presents Gifts to Belarus Museum

A0239183.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s Ambassador to Belarus Abdolhamid Fekri presented the National Art Museum of Belarus with a unique Persian carpet and a silver hand-made vase at the end of his mission to Minsk.

“My gesture is a return for hospitality and benevolence of the Belarusian people. As I am not able to thank every Belarusian, I have decided to make such a present to the National Art Museum. This is the place when everyone will be able to appreciate great art of ancient Iranian craftsmen,” the Iranian envoy said during the ceremony.

Fekri noted that the two unique masterpieces of the Iranian art have been in the embassy for four years, the diplomat’s term in office.

Underlining that museums of Iran possess a lot of ancient exhibits (some of them are five thousand years old), he expressed hope that the Iranian and Belarusian museums will keep on developing cooperation and exchanging art exhibitions.

Director of the National Art Museum Vladimir Prokoptsov assured that the masterpieces will occupy a significant place in the museum.

Fekri made a tour of the museum and got familiar with the ancient works of the Belarusian art.
