Azerbaijani President Receives Iranian Deputy FM

A04810412.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received a visiting Iranian delegation led by the Deputy Foreign Minister Mehdi Safari on Thursday.

During the meeting, the two sides voiced satisfaction over the expansion of Iran-Azerbaijan relations, and stressed further enhancement of bilateral ties and mutual cooperation in future.

The Iranian and Azeri officials exchanged views over regional issues.

Also during the meeting, Safari extended greetings of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Aliyev.

For his part, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev thanked the Iranian deputy foreign minister for the greetings of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and asked Safari to extend his warmest regards to Ahmadinejad.
