Jordanian King talks with Palestinian President

Abdullah II and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held talks on Sunday in an effort to push forward the peace process and negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis.

According to Jordanian news agency (Petra), King Abdullah stressed on importance of his country’s support for the Palestinian National Authority’s efforts to address all final status issues that must lead to an end to Israeli occupation.
King Abdullah also stressed on importance of finding just solutions to all final status issues, particularly the issues of refugees and Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, President Abbas briefed King Abdullah on the latest developments relating to the negotiating process and the recent meetings he held with Israeli officials.

President Abbas said in a statement following the meeting that he also briefed the Jordanian leadership about Israeli illegal digging at the Moroccan door in Jerusalem, including coordinating effort to tackle such issue
