Transit of Goods via Iran Hits 2.6m tons in 5 Months

A02268329.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- In the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2008), more than 2.6 million tons of oil and non-oil products have been transited via Iran, showing a 14.8 percent rise over the corresponding figure of the same period in 2007.

According to MNA, 2.27 million tons (77 percent) of the products were transited via the roads network – indicating a 7.5 percent growth – and the remaining 23 percent via railways, demonstrating a 10.2 percent rise over last year’s mentioned period.
