Khuzestan Steel Plant Boosts Production

TEHRAN (FNA)- More than one million tons of raw steel has been produced by Khuzestan Steel Company during the first six months of the current (Iranian) year.

Iranian year started 20 March 2008.

The managing director of Khuzestan Steel Company said that the plant has produced a range of different products, including various kinds of ingots, billet, bloom and slab.

He added that the aforementioned volume of production indicates a growth of nine per cent compared to last year.

Najmosadat also said that more than 300,000 tons of steel valued at 140m dollars have been exported during the said period.
