Tokyo to Exhibit Iranian Art Works

A00395871.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian embassy in Japan is slated to mount an exhibition of Persian and Japanese calligraphy paintings in the capital, Tokyo.

The 6-day event will display Nasta’liq calligraphy paintings by the Iranian ceramist Teimour Sabouri and Japanese calligraphy works by Shinzan Ito.

The exhibition will be held from Oct. 6 to 11, 2008 at the Shiraz Hall of the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo, press tv reported.

A graduate of Tokyo’s University of Arts in ceramics, Sabouri has participated in numerous international exhibitions in China, Korea, Mexico, Japan and Iran.
