TEHRAN (FNA)- An advisor of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) stated here on Wednesday that TPOI has prepared a detailed plan for the implementation of 220 projects for the boosting of Iran-Iraq trade relations.
Hossein Soltaninia added that the two countries have already signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for enhancing bilateral ties through forming joint trade committees, holding specialized solo exhibitions, supporting the sides’ private sectors, setting up border marketplaces, opening chain stores and business bureaus, as well as facilitating the visa issuance procedure and exchanging economic delegations.
Iran and Iraq have also come to terms on establishing three free trade zones in border regions aiming at augmenting two-way trade to around $4 billion per annum, the Iranian students news agency reported.
