Iran to Build Largest Port on Caspian Rim

A05285333.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- The managing director of the Anzali Special Industrial Free Zone announced on Wednesday that the Caspian Port, the largest port in the north of Iran, will be constructed in Anzali free zone.

Kamal Firouzabadi was quoted by MNA as saying that the port, with 22 docks and 11 million tons of loading and unloading capacity in one shift per annum, will be established in a 351-hectar land with 4 trillion rials (about $405.7 million) worth of investment.

The port will be built according to Iran marine bylaws and Japanese standards.
